The Kolkata Literary Fair is on – 21 to 23 January 2022

The Kolkata Literary Fair is on, and starting later today from 2:45 pm India time. Looks good, sounds good and many of the sessions actually are fun!

Translation, actually it's no longer the future. As Yuval Noah Harari would say, it's not just our capacity to portray reality or what's there, but our imagination to create fiction and myths. Our capacity for languages and to evolve new meanings and to get into each other's heads is the hallmark of human consciousness. Why do we want to be there, where? Everywhere! In each others' hearts and minds. In each other cities and particularities. We want to share each others sounds and inflections and experiences that require you to imagine and dream. Translation is the experience of the human condition, it is the inevitable migration because it understands that there are no boundaries or countries except the rivers and edges of forests and creation!
